Fall Break

This has been a pretty eventful fall break. On Friday, I went with my friend to the airport and we took a plane ride down to Birmingham, Alabama. We went to visit our friends that attend the University of Alabama. This is the second trip we've taken down there. Our first trip was about a month ago. We got there in the morning so we had the whole day there. The ride from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa is about an hour long, so instead of ubering we just had one of our friends that has a car down there come pick us up. After the car ride, we met up with our other friends dorms that we were staying in. After we got settled in and all of our stuff situated we decided to go get some food because traveling is exhausting and made us hungry. We went to this one scrumptious gyro restraunt. That was pretty good. Upon filling our stomach's my friend wanted to show me her sorority house, so she took me there to check it out. I must say, these houses are ridiculous. The house that her sorority owns and uses is a $24 million mansion that most of the girls stay in. Moving forward on my day, we went back to the dorm, hungout for a few hours, made some food, and then when the evening came around we decided to go out to a frat party. Frat parties are very interesting especially if you've never been to one. I'll say from personal experience that they are exactly how I imagined them being. We stayed at the party for a few hour then went back.

Onto the next day, Saturday morning I woke up early and checked out the workout facility that the school had which just so happened to be right next to the dorm. After my lift, I came back to the dorm and we whipped up some breakfast. For most of the morning into the afternoon I was helping my friend do a demeaning task for her sorority. Basically, you crumble up small pieces of colored tissue paper in a certain way and then they takes the pieces and use them to make large posters. Anyways, we did that for hours on end and then we decided to call it and start getting ready for one of the biggest games of Alabama's football season. It was gameday and Bama was playing one of the main rivals, Tennessee. We got ready and headed off to this one restraunt that was playing the game. It ended up being a high-scoring, very close game. However, Alabama lost to a last second field goal, so everyone around me was a quite upset. That's an understatement, everyone was heated. We just went back to the dorm and called it a night after that.

Last day, Sunday morning I slept in. I went to the gym again then got food inside the facility. It wasn't bad for college food. After I finished up I went and hung out with some of my other friends that attend the school. Once we were done hanging out, it had been a few hours. I went back to the dorm and then changed and went out to another restraunt with my friends. We were there for the rest of the night.

Monday morning I said my goodbyes to all my friends and hit the road to the airport to head back to Chicago. A quick trip but I had a lot of fun being on a big univeristy campus and I definitely made many memories that will stick around for quite a while.
